Delete your account and your data

Application: Ayuda Peregrina (com.marianozorrilla.peregrinos) · Developer: Mariano Zorrilla · Last updated: 15 September 2026

You can do this yourself from the app, without asking anyone. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.

If you have already uninstalled the application, or would rather we did it, write to us and we will handle it.

From the application

If you are a pilgrim

You have no account and no password: you have a record, created by your church, which you reach by reading your credential. That is what is deleted.

  1. Open the app with your credential already read (NFC wristband or QR code).
  2. On your «Mi credencial» card, open Opciones.
  3. Tap Eliminar mis datos and confirm.

If you are an organizer

  1. Sign in with your email and password, in the app or at app.ayuda-peregrina.org.
  2. Go to Mi cuenta (the person icon, top right).
  3. Tap Eliminar mi cuenta and confirm.

A super admin cannot delete their own account from the app: they are the only role that can create and promote others, so they must ask another super admin or write to us.

By email

If you have uninstalled the app, lost your credential, or would rather we did it, write to the address below. So that we can identify you, please tell us your full name, your church and, if you know it, your roster identifier. If you are an organizer, write from the same email address you sign in with.

privacy@ayuda-peregrina.org

We act on requests within 30 days at the latest, and usually much sooner. If we cannot identify you from what you send, we will tell you before deleting anything.

What is deleted and what is kept

DataWhat happens
Your pilgrim record: name, roster identifier, phone, email, emergency contact number and health notes Deleted
Your positions and battery levels recorded during the pilgrimage Deleted
Your requests for help, including anything you wrote in them Deleted
The record of you passing each stop on the route Deleted
Your session and the link to your credential Deleted. The wristband is freed for reuse
Organizer account: email, name, role and church memberships Deleted, together with your access
Records of pilgrimages you organised — that a pilgrim passed a stop, or that a request for help was answered Kept without your name: they remain facts about the pilgrimage, without saying who recorded them
Backups Kept in isolation, used for nothing else, until they expire in the ordinary backup cycle

None of this is reversible. If you walk with your church again later, they will create a new record for you.
